Start without Me

So, some years ago in Antwerp, I made this melange, tapas-style as a starter, the gift that kept giving. And, oh yes, it kept giving...


Yep, it was pretty easy...

  • Grilled padrón peppers on blinis with foie gras

  • Crab salad on tacos with Manchego

  • Avocado, fresh peas, brown shrimp and sesame and soy and ginger dressing

By the next day it had expanded to...

  • Grilled padrón peppers

  • White asparagus

  • Brussels pâté

  • Tortilla española

  • Celeriac, pea and avocado in a garlic mayonnaise dressing

  • Assorted biscuits and blinis


And eventually we were back to avocado, brown shrimp and fresh sesame...
